MATHABHANGA PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB
About Us
Mathabhanga is small town in India, in the midst of Dooars Range, a bounty a natural creatures and scenic beauty at Himalayan foothills. Hence, formation of Mathabhanga Photography Club is an obvious phenomenon of togetherness of people and the nature. The purpose is not only to bind them within a frame, but to explore their eternal relationship with the outer world.
It had started its journey in the year of 2008 with few enthusiastic members who were having blooming dreams in minds and went out then to explore the quest of beauty within all creations of our mother nature. Equipments were ‘point to shoot’ cameras and a few analogue gadgets. Much time has passed till then and the club has also got its complete shape by organizing photography-walks, workshops, tours, local competitions, ‘National and International Salons’, under the patronage of the Federation of Indian Photography and International bodies. Photographs of our club members were also got due recognition, awards and citations from around the corners of the world. About half of our club members also acquired National as well as International Distinctions by this time. Moreover, with all supports and enthusiasm from in and out, we are about to organize our 11th National Digital Salon, overcoming all odds, whatsoever. This is how we are growing up.
Our vision is to bind creative minds together; our mission is to explore the world; the nature; the people.
